Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30407) at GCLC is an entry level course, which provides students with skills in office administration.

The Certificate III in Business Administration is a government-accredited, nationally recognised course, developed under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course will benefit individuals who have completed their Certificate II in Business, or individuals with some work experience who wish to pursue a career in administration.

Course Duration Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30407)

The Certificate III in Business Administration at GCLC is 26 weeks of classes with 4 weeks of holidays.

The course is delivered over 4 terms (2 terms of 6 weeks and 2 terms of 7 weeks).

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency for Domestic students. 

International students* must meet the relevant English language entry requirements of the course as follows:

  • Current GCLC students assessed at Intermediate level or higher;
  • The equivalent of Australian Secondary School Grade 10;
  • English proficiency level requirement: IELTS 5 or equivalent;
  • Or at the discretion of the GCLC Dean or Academic Manager.

Outcome

Graduates of the Certificate III in Business Administration course receive the nationally accredited award BSB30407.

To successfully complete the course students must receive a grade of C (competent) in all 13 subjects. Students can then choose to enrol in Certificate IV in Business or enjoy working in this field.

Pathways

Upon completion of the Certificate III in Business Administration, students may progress into the Certificate IV in Business. Successful completion of the Certificate III in Business Administration will lead to course credit in the Certificate IV in Business (BSB40207).
