Course Duration
Duration of the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is 52 weeks full-time, including scheduled weeks of holidays/revision.
Domestic students can work at their own pace to complete the course at a faster rate.

Entry Requirements
Prospective applicants should be either working in, or have access to a Workplace Learning Environment to enrol in this qualification.
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification, however applicants are required to have some industry experience.
Language and literacy skills must meet requirements of 6.0 IELTS or equivalent for international students. Australian students must complete and pass the GCLC Language, Literacy and Numeracy test prior to enrolment.
Applicants should also have the following skills in order to complete assignment requirements for this course.
- Basic word processing skills
- The equivalent of Australian Secondary School Grade 10 English;
- English proficiency level requirement of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent;
- Or at the discretion of the Academic Management of Gold Coast Learning Centre.
International students must meet one of the following English language requirements:
- Current GCLC students assessed at Intermediate level or higher;
- The equivalent of Australian Secondary School Grade 10 English;
- English proficiency level requirement of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent;
